Last thursday, I was invited to discover the new exhibition about 70’s style at The Costum and Lace Museum and after that, we had the chance to listen to MR Grumbach, the president of « The Fédération Française de la Couture, du Prêt-à-Porter des Couturiers et des Créateurs de Mode » who told us about the first Couture industries in France and how Pret-à Porter began… Everybody really enjoyed his words, his elegant and humble personality! On Friday, I went to SHOWROOM 13 where where presented 15 promising designers, some more famous and confirmed than others… An initiative from MAD Brussels and BRUSSELS INVEST & EXPORT, to put them on the scene front and introduce them to international journalists and buyers. This was at BIP, near the beautiful Royal Place. Here is what seduced me! Enjoy!….
To begin the visit, designers that we don’t need to present anymore, Annemie Verbeke, whose I always admire the delicate and expert work of knit , Jean-Paul Lespagnard, one of the new trendy and internationally famous Belgian talent. There were accessories and clothes designers: Eric Beauduin, Especes, Isabelle Lenfant, Céline d’Aoust, and Louise Leconte for accessories/ Alice Knackfuss, Jessie lecomte, Pierre-Antoine Vettorello, Marc-Philippe Coudeyre, Arma Cutis, Clio Goldbrenner, Krjst, Gioia Seghers for Prêt-à Porter.
